Southern Supper..and more...

Ooooh yummy!..
Dinner this evening...oh so easy..but oh so yummy.

Sausage with pepper medley and whole green beans on the side.
So colorful, and so filling...and so full of veggies.

I took a package of mild Italian sausages..browned them until nearly done..in a skillet with just a touch of butter added to keep them from sticking.

When they were almost done I just cut them in half..so that I'm sure they were getting good and done.

Then I added a full package of 3 pepper medley with fajita seasoning(available in the frozen veggie section of your store..or you can create your own fresh version by using a blend of yelow, red and green peppers, and about 1/2 of an onion)

Anyhow..I let this all saute and simmer together until done.

Then just zapped the frozen green beans in the microwave for 8 minutes.

So easy..and yes..so quick...but so satisfying.I suppose if one wished to add a bit more to the meal..you could put the sausage medley over some brown rice, or wrap in a warmed tortilla.

Yes, I do prepare meals that take up more of my time...but sometimes the easiest ones are also some of the most enjoyable ones.
Simple blends with delightful tastes.
---------------
The lawn recieved a fresh mowing this evening. It always looks so nice after it has recieved a nice "hair cut"..ha.
We recieved alot of rain this afternoon...which it seems that it always arrives when we certainly can use it.
--------------
The little quackers are doing great. They seemed to have enjoyed the rain this afternoon. I peeked out at them earlier and they were just standing in it..and soaking it up...enjoying it.
--------------
I've been getting ready for the new school year. Will have a 1st grader to teach this year.I'll be using a curriculum from Hewitt Home Education Resources called "A Bee Sees" ..it's a really cute unit study themed curriculum and alot of fun.
So, I'm getting the school cupboard stocked and ready..and at the same time thinning out the items I no longer will need/use...
---------------
Where did the summer go? Seems it zipped right on by.
I must say though..that with all of the hot weather that we have had here in the South..that I am looking forward to a wee bit of cooler weather.
--------
Well...I really hope that today found you all doing very well, and enjoying the beauty around you.
May you all have a really nice evening.

I recieved my gifts yesterday. Should have seen me, I was like a kid at Christmas. I laughed and then I cried. I just oohed and ahhed over everything. Us southerners have to have our tea and gravy. Everything was just wonderful. One note, sorry, but when I get to laughing, I will snort tea out my nose. lol You are a blessing in my life and a dear, dear friend. THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH. I really needed that uplift. Hope you and yours have a blessed day.
