shopping list to last about a month....

I was asked if I make a big list/plan out my shopping trips..and really I don't like some folks do.
Yesterday's shopping trip was a little planned in that I took the time to go through some of my Weight Watchers cookbooks and try to choose a few meals that I would like to make. Then I built up from there...with the intent of making a point to make sure that I stocked up on plenty of frozen vegetables, plenty of meat products, plenty of things for the pantry such as pastas and sauces and a few canned items.
I made a point to switch over to less sugary foods/snacks for my children. Choosing instead to purchase cereals like shredded wheat/and snacks like peanuts, pretzels and crackers and dessert related items like jellos and puddings.Making a point to try to get store brand items as possible

Thank you for taking the time to post your list, always fun to see what someone else buys.People you don't know at the store get a little cranky when you start going through their cart to see what they got.HA.
I don't plan my meals ahead either to much. I never know for sure what is going to be going on around here. I usually decide that morning what I will be doing, and even then it sometimes gets changed. I took out a sirloin steak this morning and will be putting it in a baggie with my marinade. Nice day today, so will grill that and slice it up thin.
Hey you know what I mopped my kitchen floor with yesterday? cascade dishwashing liguid. One of my Grand daughters{cute as can be} spilled coke all over the floor, very sticky! Couldn't get it to be NON sticky, so I thought, ok, lets try the cascade, well I got myself a clean foor.
Wow this got long, to much coffee again!

Wow! I'm impressed. City Boy insists on shopping here; he's a shop-a-holic, I kid you not. He's got this funky schedule where he only actually works half the month, and he's drawn to Costco like a moth to a flame on his days off. I wouldn't doubt that he's there 8 times a month!

LOL Tracey...my hubby likes to shop too..but mostly at stores like Target and such.
Me, I could care less unless it's like at a plant nursery or a garden department, and I love magazines about home decor and gardening and farm life so that's usually the things I gravitate towards at a store.
but grocery shopping to me is just plain boring..but once I have the tools in the pantry and refrigerator I can put on a "mean feed" but it's the acquiring the goods that I don't care for.
I think what makes it the least enjoyable for me is that the stores always tend to be busy with lots of people, sometimes several carts at a time on a single aisle and near "cart jams"..to where I just prefer quiet over the shopping experience.

I love shopping in the quiet too. Nancy Jo you crack me. I too am one that loves to see what other people buy. It amazes me momwill have a cart full of junk and sugar and wonder why their kids are bouncing off the wall. LOL
