Had a wee bit of a busy day today...
Started by vacuuming and mopping the entire house/redding up as I call it.
(readying up=straightening up)
--------------
Then after that I played in the dirt for half the day...planting seeds into 102 peat pots..yep..102!---------------
I put the peat pots onto cookie sheets and then marked each pot with a pen telling the contents.
-----------
Oh my! I have planted seeds for 4-5 varieties of tomatoes, some heirloom edible poppy flowers(they produce the edible seeds used in cooking)
I planted some dwarf pomegranate seeds, some huckleberry, lots of flower seeds such as verbena, godetia, love in a mist, tithonia(Mexican sunflower),a flower called tidy tips that looks like a daisy but has bright yellow tips..and lots, and lots of other fun things. Ooooh! I can't wait until things start sprouting.
-----------------
Then hopefully on Monday I'll be able to order some blueberry trees and some raspberries that if I'm able to get a good sized plant/tree/canes, should produce this year for me.
-----------------
My husband built a few more little fencings to go around the strawberry bed and spinach, mesclun, lettuce beds to keep the ducks, chickens from getting in the raised beds and devouring everything.
-----------------
After all the planting today..I redid 2 of my floral arrangements..totally redid them..took out all of the older flowers and then created new bright and cheery arrangements using gerbera daisy flowers(fake) in bright red, yellow, and white.I love the contrast those colors create.
--------------
After all of that..I realized...OOPS!...I forgot to get that picture of "Collin" I had been wanting to get today..of him with his blue bandanna on :0(
I'm really sorry. I will definitely get a photo on here this weekend though.
---------------
I tell you what..for those of you considering adding a mini schnauzer to your family..I whole heartily endorse it..they are the sweetest dogs. I have never had a puppy so well behaved. Of course he does have a few wee moments when he gets a bit rambunctious and feisty acting, but nothing that a good "no" command doesn't usually fix.
He adores cuddling..and is already a good lap dog.
Sweet, sweet personality.
---------------------
Well...that's all the news from my little corner this evening.
May you all have a lovely weekend.

My best friend here called last night and said she planted a lot of herb seeds just the way you described.
I've never planted anything by seed, just always bought plants and flowers that were already started. But, then I'm not a gardener, I just love flowers.
Can't wait to see all the beautiful pictures this spring!
Have a great Sunday!
Hi Tina! Wow, you HAVE been a busy girl! I am "thinking spring" here too. We order our berries this week. :-)
I can't believe I missed yet another of your wonderful contests!*sigh* Life has been a bit hectic here these days. Enjoy your week!
