I homeschooled for 17 years and the best "side effect" of that was learning so many things myself from preparing to teach a certain lesson. Butterflies was a favorite lesson study for us.Pattyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08505042214124811641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3131787274398766585.post-2147732743188447232007-06-22T15:34:00.000-07:002007-06-22T15:34:00.000-07:00I emailed ya back Laura..hope you got it.I emailed ya back Laura..hope you got it.Tina Leavyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09903745713391219366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3131787274398766585.post-17816667489076187302007-06-22T09:57:00.000-07:002007-06-22T09:57:00.000-07:00Did you get your email that I sent this morning? She got a butterfly cage for her birthday and we sent away for "Painted Lady" butterfly pupa. She enjoyed watching them go from itty bitty catterpillar to butterfly. She would spend hours just watching them. After keeping the butterflies (4 hatched) for a couple of weeks in the cage we decided to release them. She put her hand in the cage and each one of them would hop on her hand and she would put them on the flowers in our yard. After all were released she could "catch" them again and hold them. They stayed around for a couple of days in our yard and when our 4 year old was outside they seemed to find her. She loved the experience and we are thinking of doing it again this year. She loves all things nature and loves bugs!!Whitneyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01481058138974801269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3131787274398766585.post-40372348842257320052007-06-21T12:54:00.000-07:002007-06-21T12:54:00.000-07:00Got to love those butterflys!
