Homeschool Helps...Jellyfish,seahorses.. and more...

Today I wanted to share a few homeschooling websites related to sea life.

I wanted to share a really nice website for an in depth unit study(29 pages) about jellyfish.
This is a really nice looking lesson plan that can be adapted for different age levels

I also wanted to share some websites in regards to seahorses and pin fish.

several years ago my family and I had the joy of visiting the tennessee aquarium where there was a large display of seahorses from all around the world. Here is a website about seahorses at the Tennessee aquarium.

Also wanted to share with you all a website with a few videos of sea anemones, barnacles, squid, etc.(Monterey Bay Aquarium)

Enjoy and have fun!

p.s. things here have been hectic, etc. I will resume my normal chatty blogging soon.

Hi Tina :) Thanks for the information! We have an "under the sea" lesson coming up soon. I will take a look at these in my planning time this week. Love to you! Q

That sounds great. We don't have home schooling here in The Netherlands, it's forbidden.

Hubby is a teacher though, he could have homeschooled our kids, that is alowed !! You've got to have a degree to teach. He didn't homeschool our kids, because he had to work outdoors.
We do teach them all kinds of things that they don't learn at school : )

Great unit study! I remember taking our boys to the Newport Aquarium on the Oregon Coast for one of our unit studies. They had a pool where the childre could reach in and touch all the sea creatures and they had a huge octopus that was quite amazing (in a separate container --- we couldn't touch that one).

Enjoy a lovely day!
